A record kept for life

A record kept for the life of the watch.

Each certificate is entered once and maintained thereafter, independently of the maison's day-to-day systems. An entry has no expiry date, and remains legible even after the guarantee period has ended.

SerialProof records the guarantee dates. The maison remains the guarantor.

There is no annual renewal and no storage subscription. Records are exportable at any time.

Common questions

What does "for the life of the watch" mean?
The record is entered once and kept for as long as the watch exists. It stays visible even after the guarantee period has ended: a lapsed guarantee is shown as such, while the certificate and its history remain on record.
Is the guarantee itself permanent?
The record is kept for the life of the watch; the guarantee within it runs for a defined term set by the maison. A verification always shows its current standing.
What happens to the record over time as technology changes?
Records are exportable at any time, so a record is not tied to any single technology it is held on.
What if a maison stops issuing new certificates?
Existing records stay live. Nothing is deactivated.
